Hanna and Helmut live a seemingly idyllic life with her two daughters Mia and Klara and Desi housekeeper on a farm in South Africa. But since the fatal accident of the oldest son of the family is nothing no longer what it was. Hanna clings to memories and Helmut suppressed his pain by excluding the farm and his cheetah project is devoted to. The desperate attempt to fill the emptiness that leads to the family receives the 17-year-old Kai from Germany with him. Actually sentenced to a juvenile detention sentence, Kai will now be returned to South Africa in the "open prison" gradually into society. But how do you integrate someone who knows not a "normal" family life, and has never learned to respond to the needs of others? The integration project seems doomed to fail and break apart the family finally.
